Today, December 18th, we remember Firefighter James Breeding and Firefighter William Duffy, both of the Friendship Fire Company, Lower Chichester Fire Department.

Both men were killed on today's date, December 18th back in 1969.

To all of our Friends and Supporters,

The attached photo is of a Breathalyzer machine that has been seen in at least two local bars within Delaware County.

Please be aware that the Delaware County Fallen Firefighter & EMS Memorial Committee has no affiliation with whomever owns or installed these machines.

The posters are very vague, in that they do not mention which "Fallen Firefighter(s) Memorial" its' proceeds support. To our knowledge, no local memorial, nor does the National Memorial in Emmitsburg, MD know of any such program or donations.

The members of the Delaware County Fallen Firefighter & EMS Memorial Committee work very hard for all of the support that we get from you and appreciate it very much! Sadly it appears that others are trying to bank off of that same support.

Today, December 2nd, we remember Past Chief Samuel S. Langley of the Collingdale Fire Company No. 1.

Past Chief Langley died on this day back in 1916. Past Chief Langley suffered with Pneumonia for 4 days after being drenched while fighting a fire at 37 years of age.
